Chris has diverse business litigation and trial practice experience primarily in the defense of civil lawsuits venued in state courts, federal courts and including administrative actions. Professional Background

Chris has significant litigation experience. He has traveled to Singapore twice to defend depositions in a large federal trademark infringement case. Some exemplars of Chris's work include a successful summary judgment motion in federal court while representing an excess insurance carrier and a successful summary judgment motion in federal court on behalf of a web-based company that was sued on a defamation theory. Chris recently won a summary judgment in state court that led to the dismissal of a wrongful death action. His most recent trial, a real estate partition and tenant waste claim in the Alameda state court, yielded a win for his client, including an award of attorney’s fees. In a recent San Francisco Rent Board administrative hearing, Chris represented a property owner in a reduction in services hearing and obtained a favorable result for the client.

Personal Life

Chris has lived for many years in both New York City and San Francisco. He has been married to his wife Shelley for 25 years and is a parent to (identical) twin boys, who are currently attending college at Santa Clara University.

During the rare times that he is not busy with his law practice, he enjoys golfing.
