Jason W. Jochum is a member of Tressler's Insurance Services Practice Group. Jason concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance coverage, first and third-party insurance property claims, bad faith claims and professional liability matters. Jason provides comprehensive coverage analysis in disputes concerning a wide variety of policies throughout the country in both state and federal courts. These actions involve various coverage lines, including commercial general liability, professional liability, E&O, excess liability exposure and extracontractual liability.
Jason also defends professionals in negligence matters, including attorneys, architects, engineers, insurance brokers and real estate brokers. He has obtained several positive decisions.
Jason also provides advice and counsel to several small and medium sized businesses and litigates contractual and other matters on their behalf.
Prior to joining Tressler, Jason was a partner at a large firm where he gained experience representing domestic and international insurers in complex coverage disputes involving misconduct, fraud, property damage and general liability allegations. Jason also previously acted as defense counsel for a wide range of professional clients, including numerous attorneys and firms throughout the state of Illinois, obtaining positive results on their behalf.
Jason graduated, cum laude, from The John Marshall School of Law. During law school, he served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Jeffrey Cole of the Northern District of Illinois. He also served on the Moot Court Honors Executive Board and obtained a certificate in Intellectual Property.
