Jey is an associate in Tressler’s Local Government Practice Group. Jey focuses his practice on representing cities, villages, park districts, school districts, library districts and other public entities on a variety of legal matters including day-to-day operations, contract review and negotiation, real estate and land use matters.
Prior to joining Tressler, Jey was an associate at a full-service law firm working in the insurance defense and general business law groups. Jey represented insurance companies and insureds in numerous insurance coverage matters. Jey also represented corporations in complex commercial litigation.
Jey worked as in-house counsel for a prominent real estate development and management corporation that focused on mixed-use housing and commercial real estate. As in-house counsel, Jey reviewed and negotiated commercial and real estate contracts to mitigate the corporation’s risk. Jey advised the corporation on landlord/tenant, employment and insurance matters.
