Edna L. McLain is a partner in the Chicago office of Tressler LLP where she focuses her litigation practice on the defense of hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, nurses and other medical personnel in medical negligence cases and the defense of corporate clients in toxic tort and general liability cases. She has coordinated the discovery responses and corporate representative depositions of multiple clients, negotiated settlements, prepared and argued motions, and managed the trial preparation of hundreds of cases. She successfully argued an appeal before the Illinois Second District Appellate Court and tried multiple medical negligence cases to defense verdicts in Illinois.
Edna obtained her law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law after graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Missouri Bar, the Illinois Bar, the Wisconsin Bar, the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel and the Chicagoland Healthcare Risk Management Society.
