Its application to claims handling, particularly in streamlining more routine claims, aiding in liability and damages evaluation and providing new tools for fraud detection, presents new and exciting opportunities and challenges to the insurance industry and claims professionals. Bill is a partner at Tressler LLP where he focuses his practice on complex insurance coverage litigation and hospital law and medical liability. He has handled all areas of coverage and bad faith litigation, especially third-party bad faith and coverage litigation involving commercial general liability, professional liability coverages as well as personal lines coverages such as auto and homeowners coverages.
About Daniel R. Formeller
Dan is Chairman of the firm. As a trial lawyer based in the firm’s Chicago office, Dan focuses his practice on business litigation and the resolution of business disputes through mediation and arbitration. Dan handles a wide variety of complex business litigation and counseling, including intellectual property, state and federal securities actions, anti-trust, ERISA, class actions and directors and officers liability matters. He has been lead trial counsel in bench and jury trials in state and federal courts throughout the United States.
About Danita L. Davis
Danita is Co-Chair of Tressler's Insurance Practice Group. She also practices with the Litigation Defense Practice Group. Danita represents insurers in matters regarding first party property residential and commercial disputes, commercial general liability coverage, professional liability coverage, liquor liability coverage and employment practices liability coverage, among others. She advises insurers regarding a broad range of matters involving state and federal law throughout the country. She regularly appears in court on both routine and contested matters, participates in oral argument and conducts all facets of discovery and trial preparation. She has many favorable outcomes through dispositive motion practice in cases involving coverage and liability issues. Danita also has experience in alternative dispute resolution, having represented clients in settlement conferences and at mediations and arbitrations. Additionally, she has experience defending policyholders in suits alleging a wide range of claims, including but not limited to, premises liability, general negligence, vicarious liability, wrongful acts, contractual disputes, business torts, wrongful employment practices and wrongful acts and intentional conduct.
About Dominic M. Pisani
Dominic is a partner in Tressler’s New York office. He concentrates his practice in the representation of primary, excess and surplus lines insurers in complex insurance coverage disputes arising under various forms of commercial general liability, directors and officers liability, professional liability, employers liability and errors and omissions insurance policies. Dominic has nearly 30 years of experience acting as coverage and litigation counsel in complex insurance coverage disputes arising from construction defects, products liability, cyber and data breach, transportation, personal and advertising injury, pollution and environmental, malicious prosecution, discrimination and employment, errors and omissions and various other casualty and property damage claims under primary, excess and umbrella insurance policies as well rescission and bad-faith actions and risk transfer analysis and litigation. He has successfully litigated declaratory judgment actions in state and federal courts throughout the United States and has participated in numerous alternative dispute resolution proceedings, including mediations and arbitrations before the AAA, JAMS and NAM.
