About the Session
Insurers frequently face dilemmas when dealing with multiple claimants or insureds and insufficient coverage limits. These issues can arise in various situations: when limits are too low to cover all claims, when limits are sufficient for some claims but not others or when one claimant's demands exceed the limits needed to settle claims for multiple insureds. Such scenarios can expose the insured personally and increase the risk of bad faith claims against the insurer. This session will explore the pitfalls of these scenarios, how plaintiffs' attorneys exploit them and offer strategies and recommendations for handling these challenges.

Bill is a partner at Tressler LLP where he focuses his practice on complex insurance coverage litigation and hospital law and medical liability.
