Karl Schlecht and Jonathan Alvanos Join Tressler’s Orange County Office

ORANGE COUNTY, CA, February 7, 2018 – Tressler LLP continues to expand its Orange County office with the addition of a new partner, Karl Schlecht, and a new associate, Jonathan Alvanos.
Mr. Schlecht and Mr. Alvanos are now members of Tressler’s Labor and Employment Group, a well-known practice group that has continued to grow over the last few months.

Karl Schlecht focuses his practice on representing employers in all aspects of employment matters, including Employment Discrimination, Wrongful Termination, Wage and Hour, Employment Class Actions, Unfair Competition Claims, and proceedings before state and federal agencies such as the EEOC, and California’s DLSE and DFEH. Mr. Schlecht also counsels employers in connection with disciplinary and termination issues and the adoption of workplace policies and procedures. He consults with clients regarding sexual harassment laws and assists in conducting workplace internal investigations. Prior to joining Tressler, he was a partner at Kimball, Tirey & St. John, where he was Chair of the firm’s Employment Practice Group and the Managing Partner of the Irvine office. While at his previous firm, he was the lead instructor for the firm’s sexual harassment training program.

Jonathan Alvanos has defended claims against employers before State and Federal courts, including litigation involving Wage and Hour, Wrongful Termination, Discrimination, Unfair Competition Claims, PAGA, and Class Actions. He aids his clientele in litigation prevention by reviewing employee handbooks, assisting with matters regarding termination and discipline, providing sexual harassment training, and offering legal updates on areas of law that may affect them. Prior to joining Tressler LLP, Mr. Alvanos was an associate at Kimball, Tirey & St. John where he was a member of the firm’s Employment Practice Group and Litigation Practice Group. He also was an instructor for the firm’s sexual harassment training program.
