Andrew Paine Recognized as Emerging Lawyer

Tressler is proud to announce that Andrew Paine has been selected as an Emerging Lawyer in the areas of Commercial Litigation and Governmental, Municipal, Lobbying & Administrative Law. Andrew is a partner in Tressler's Chicago office.

Emerging Lawyers are nominated and selected by their peers to be among the top lawyers under the age of 40 nationwide. Less than 2% of all lawyers licensed in each state have received the distinction of Emerging Lawyer.

Andrew is Co-Chair of Tressler’s Local Government Practice Group. He concentrates his practice in the representation of Illinois park districts, municipalities, and other governmental entities in transactional and litigation related matters. Andrew has litigated a variety of matters on behalf of Tressler’s government and private sector clients in both state and federal court, including construction claims, state agency enforcement proceedings, land use and zoning challenges, property damage claims, debtor/creditor disputes, commercial and residential foreclosure, contract disputes and post-judgment collections.

About Emerging Lawyers - Selection Process and Criteria

Emerging Lawyer selection arises from Law Bulletin Media's annual surveys that are mailed to all Leading Lawyers in the state. The survey asks Leading Lawyers to confidentially share the names of lawyers whom they believe have jumped quickly from the starting gate and have proven themselves professional, ethical, and experienced at an early point in their legal career.

Any lawyer licensed in a given state who has proven to be of exceptional character and has conveyed outstanding aptitude for the practice of law in the early stage of their career. Emerging Lawyers must be 40 or younger unless they have practiced for no more than 10 years.
