IICF Week of Giving 2019: Tressler Donates 583 Childrens' Books

As a firm, we believe in giving back to our local communities. We are proud to announce that Tressler's Chicago office collected and donated a record 583 children's books to Bernie's Book Bank.

Bernie’s Book Bank sources, processes and distributes quality children’s books to significantly increase book ownership among at-risk infants, toddlers and school-age children throughout the Chicagoland area. They serve more than 360,000 children annually and have distributed 16,516,165 books since 2009.

Tressler participates in the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) Week of Giving every year, and this was a unique project for 2019. The IICF is a nonprofit organization that unites the insurance industry in helping communities and enriching lives through grants, volunteer service and leadership. Our other offices throughout the United States are collecting donation items for the The Salvation Army this week.

Diane Novosel, a Legal Secretary in Tressler's Chicago office, spearheaded the project. "I am happy we collected well over our initial goal of 250 books! This demonstrates the generosity and kindness of our firm. I am honored to have been a part of it." Diane's photos from the Book Drive are included below.
