Kathleen Danna Joins Tressler’s Insurance Practice Group
Irvine, CA, October 22, 2019 – Tressler LLP is happy to welcome Kathleen Danna as senior counsel in the firm’s Orange County office. Kathleen’s practice includes 20 years of insurance coverage consulting and litigation. She represents insurance companies in complex litigation and coverage matters involving general and professional liability, excess exposures and extracontractual liability and construction defect coverage. Kathleen has favorably handled a wide range of claims, including serious bodily injury and wrongful death claims, catastrophic claims, class action litigation, “Cumis” disputes (right to insurer-funded independent counsel) and additional country-wide coverage disputes and litigation, including Oregon, Illinois and Florida, just to name a few examples. This breadth of experience includes enforcing a comprehensive range of contractual obligations incurred across multiple types of businesses. Kathleen has extensive experience ranging from pre-litigation negotiation and resolution, through mediation, trial, and appeals.

Kathleen has practiced litigation and insurance coverage for more than 20 years. Her comprehensive experience includes 14 years of service in CNA's in-house commercial coverage group where she specialized in construction defect coverage and commercial lines coverage across the country. Kathleen’s private practice experience in California includes successful coverage litigation and analysis for commercial lines and personal policy insurers. While practicing in New Jersey, Kathleen litigated personal injury claims and handled tort litigation including product liability and wrongful death claims. Notably, she handled New Jersey’s tobacco class action litigation and New Jersey’s and New York’s significant diet drug litigation against fen-phen manufacturers.
While in law school, Kathleen contributed to the Seton Hall Constitutional Law Journal. She received her B.A. in Psychology at Rutgers College and her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law where she was on the Honors Dean’s List.
