Courtney Willits Joins Tressler's Government Practice Group
Bolingbrook, IL, October 18, 2021 - Tressler is proud to welcome Courtney Willits to our Government Practice Group. Courtney has experience in providing general counsel services to local governmental bodies including, municipalities, park districts and community colleges. Courtney represents public and private clients on a variety of matters including contracts, intergovernmental agreements, compliance with sunshine law, laws and drafting legislation and policy.

Prior to joining Tressler, Courtney worked as an associate for a Chicago-based boutique firm where she concentrated her practice on municipal and transactional law. Before that, Courtney worked as a Staff Attorney for the Chicago City Council Committee on Finance, where she drafted ordinances, resolutions and policies for various City matters. While in law school, Courtney served as a staff editor for The John Marshall Review of Intellectual Property Law Journal and also worked as a teaching assistant for Lawyering Skills, and Contracts classes. Additionally, she was a recipient of the CALI Award for Excellence in Criminal Procedure, Administrative Law, Advanced Torts, and Illinois Constitutional Law.
