Calla Mears Joins Tressler's Chicago Office

Chicago, IL, January 17, 2023 - Tressler is proud to welcome Calla M. Mears as an associate in our General Defense and Litigation Practice Group. Calla focuses her practice on civil litigation matters, including insurance defense litigation.

Prior to joining Tressler, Calla practiced as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Criminal Appeals Division of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. She previously served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Judge Cristian M. Stevens of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District.

While attending law school, Calla served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Missouri Law Review and received the Guy A. Thompson Best Student Note Award. Calla interned for two summers in the Criminal Division at the Missouri Attorney General’s Office, where she received hands-on experience with every stage of litigation.

Calla received her B.A. from the University of Missouri and her J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law.
