Agatha Akers Joins Tressler's Insurance Practice Group
Orange County, CA, April 20, 2023 - Tressler is excited to welcome Agatha Akers as an associate attorney in our Orange County, California office. Aggie handles all areas of insurance coverage law including assisting clients with Special Investigation Unit (SIU) investigations, pre-litigation best practices, insurance policy interpretation, issues regarding independent counsel, bad faith litigation, actions for declaratory relief, disputes between multiple coinsurers and related appeals. Aggie has prepared legal opinions regarding insurance coverage questions and enjoys the nuance and complexities of difficult coverage scenarios.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Aggie was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army and served two combat tours in Iraq as an Arabic linguist in Ar Ramadi and Sadr City. Before joining Tressler in 2023, Aggie worked as an associate at a well-known law firm specializing in insurance coverage where she tirelessly advocated for her clients’ positions in all aspects of insurance litigation.
Aggie also has experience as a litigation defense associate in vehicle collision cases, landlord-tenant disputes, construction defect litigation and general liability suits against landowners. Aggie has worked as a project manager, leading teams of attorneys in data breach response and e-discovery operations.
Aggie received her B.A. from Northwestern University, her A.A. from the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, Presidio of Monterey and her J.D. from the University of La Verne College of Law.
