Sarah Hertz Maisel Promoted to Partner in Tressler's Insurance Practice Group
Tressler is pleased to announce that attorney Sarah Hertz Maisel has been promoted to partner. Sarah joined Tressler's Chicago office as an associate in 2020 and is a member of our award-winning Insurance Practice Group.

Sarah focuses her practice on a wide range of insurance coverage analyses and litigation. She represents insurance companies in complex coverage litigation pending throughout the country in both state and federal courts. These actions involve various coverage lines, including commercial general liability, professional liability, management liability, excess exposures and extracontractual liability. She also has significant experience in defending underlying claims including handling matters through mediation, arbitration and trial.
Prior to joining Tressler, Sarah was an associate at a global law firm where she gained experience representing domestic and international insurers in complex coverage disputes involving sexual misconduct allegations. Sarah also previously acted as defense counsel for a wide range of clients, including Fortune 500 corporations, involved in complex commercial and toxic tort litigation.
Sarah is a magna cum laude graduate from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. During law school, she held several law clerk positions and also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Raul Vega, Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois in the Domestic Relations Division. Sarah obtained certificates in both Advocacy and Child and Family Law.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys traveling, concerts, running, and spending time with her husband and young son (pictured below). Sarah and her family enjoy visiting the many excellent restaurants that Chicago has to offer, and traveling to a ranch in northern Michigan where they spend time horseback riding.
