Bicvan Brown Selected as Nominee for 2024 Orange County Inspirational Women Forum and Leadership Awards
We are pleased to announce that the Los Angeles Times B2B Publishing has named Bicvan Brown a nominee for the second annual Orange County Inspirational Women Forum and Leadership Awards. Winners will be selected at a ceremony on March 28, 2024 at the the Marriott Irvine Spectrum in Irvine, California. The event recognizes accomplished female leaders from corporations and non-profit organizations throughout Orange County, California who have achieved remarkable success and accomplishments in the last 24 months.
Bicvan Brown is an accomplished employment law attorney and is active throughout the Vietnamese American community in California. Bicvan is President of the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Southern California and Section Leader of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Orange County Bar Association. We are pleased to congratulate Bicvan on her nomination in recognition of her many leadership roles in the community and at Tressler, and we look forward to the upcoming awards ceremony.

About Bicvan Brown
Bicvan is a partner in Tressler's Irvine, California office and Chair of the firm’s national Labor and Employment Practice Group. She co-chairs the firm’s West Coast General Litigation Group. She focuses her practice in all aspects of general litigation and employment matters, including trials, arbitrations and mediations. Bicvan defends defendants and employers while providing advice and counsel against claims such as injury claims, wage and hour (individual and class actions), PAGA, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation and whistleblowing. She defends employers before state and federal agencies such as the EEOC, NLRB, California Labor Commission and California Department of Fair Employment and Housing. She is fluent in Vietnamese and Spanish, and she provides advice about as well as translates workplace policies, employee handbooks and agreements. Bicvan regularly speaks at seminars with the purpose of helping employers and their insurers regarding best practices to minimize risk in California.
Bicvan also has a general liability practice in personal injury, ADA, post-foreclosure evictions, housing discrimination, catastrophic injuries, and mass toxic torts.
Bicvan prevailed on summary judgment on behalf of an individual supervisor sued for age-based harassment, disability-based harassment and intentional infliction of emotional distress, and she obtained a dismissal on behalf of a company sued for negligent supervision and retention.
Bicvan started her general liability practice in 1999 in a mass toxic torts action, using her Spanish language abilities. Since then, she has also defended Fortune 500 companies in catastrophic injury and personal injury matters, and she has and continues to defend insurers in subrogation actions. She obtained a defense verdict in her most recent subrogation trial.
