Tressler Litigation Attorneys Defeat Wrongful Death Claim
Tressler is proud to announce that attorneys Molly E. Thompson and Jerome T. Murphy successfully obtained summary judgment in Cook County, Illinois on behalf of a senior living community. The plaintiff sought to recover damages for an alleged sacral pressure ulcer, arm fracture and death by bringing claims under the Nursing Home Care Act, negligence and res ipsa loquitur theories.
Finding no genuine issue of material fact, the court granted summary judgment in favor of the senior living community. In July 2024, the court denied the plaintiff’s motion to reconsider its grant of summary judgment.
Congratulations to Molly E. Thompson and Jerome T. Murphy on this excellent result.
