Where are you from?
I am from Teaneck, NJ. I met my husband in law school in Boston, MA and we settled in Union County, NJ, when I took my first job as an attorney.

What was your first job?
I worked for St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in its Bogota, NJ office. I was young at the time, but my mother was the bookkeeper.

Do you have any hidden talents and/or unique hobbies?
I enjoy all things winter. I am a former competitive figure skater and raced for Penn State on its ski team.

What is on your bucket list?
I want to go skiing in the Swiss Alps.

Why did you decide to become an attorney?
I was in the debate club in high school and was enamored with the idea that I could win an argument by finding a lesser-known case or a simple sentence that proved my point.

What does a typical workday look like for you?
It depends on the day! Some days are spent in the office, while others can be on-site visiting with a client or representing a client in court. I enjoy the variety of tasks.

Why did you choose your areas of practice?

I have made a career in civil litigation on the defense side. I like the fast-paced environment and the assortment of matters I handle. There is always something new to learn.

What do you like most about Tressler?
I enjoy working for a national firm but still experience the feel of a smaller office. My colleagues in the Morristown, NJ office are great.

What are you most proud of, professionally and/or personally?
The way I multitask! I work fulltime, have three children and pursue my interests. Somehow it all gets done!

Tell us something else that we would not know about you.
I believe in giving back and doing good for others. I have been involved in Project Purple, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to creating a world without pancreatic cancer. I joined the organization in 2023 after losing a friend to pancreatic cancer. Since then, I am honored to serve as an Ambassador. I ran two marathons (hi, Chicago!) to fundraise for their efforts and I even hosted an inaugural charity event called “The Project Purple Pretzel Run,” last summer. This 5k event, which had numerous sponsors and sold-out attendance, raised over $18,000.00 for Project Purple in honor of my friend. It received local news coverage and was a beautiful celebration for a great cause. We are currently working hard to bring back this event in 2025. I am so proud of what we have accomplished so far and am looking forward to what lies ahead.
