Kiera Fitzpatrick is an associate in the insurance and employment practices at Tressler LLP. She represents her clients in State and Federal Courts in New York and New Jersey. Her practice areas include employment litigation, insurance coverage litigation, professional and management liability, reinsurance and personal injury. She represents insurers in litigation and non-litigation matters and advises insurers on complex insurance coverage issues. She is well-versed in drafting coverage letters, pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery requests/responses and settlement agreements. Kiera also represents her clients in depositions and mediations.
She received her J.D. from Pace University School of Law with Cum Laude honors and works out of the New York Office.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.
What three words describe you?
Diligent, intuitive, witty.
What was your first job?
My first job was at Trainworld, a hobby train store in Brooklyn and Long Island, New York. Interestingly, the Sopranos filmed an infamous scene in the store with “wiseguy” Bobby Bacala (no spoilers!).
Do you have any hidden talents and/or unique hobbies?
I’m an expert doodler, mediocre Irish dancer and amateur parent to a 5-month-old.

What is on your bucket list?
Skydiving.
Why did you decide to become an attorney?
It was written in the stars. I went to the same high school as U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg. (Come on now!) and was in the “Law Institute” program at my high school.
Why did you choose your areas of practice?
I love that insurance law covers a wide area of practice and gives me the best of both worlds: coverage analysis and litigation. I am exposed to a myriad of disputes in my practice areas, which include professional and management liability, directors and officers liability, commercial general liability, employment law and personal injury.
What do you like most about Tressler?
The people I work with. We work extremely well together as a team and are dedicated to getting the best possible results for our clients.
What are you most proud of, professionally and/or personally?
My family and I organize a fundraising event every year (for the past 4 years) to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis (“CF”) cause – to search for a cure and advancements in CF medicine. We host the fundraising event in honor of my cousin who was diagnosed with CF nearly 27 years ago. I am incredibly proud of the time and effort each member of my family puts in to make the fundraiser bigger and better than the year before, the money we raise and the dedicated supporters that attend and donate. This fundraiser has become a family tradition that I am proud of.
What is your favorite quote from a movie/TV show?

What is your favorite book?
All of the Harry Potter books! I even re-read the series every other year.
